Rush Hour 2 follows the logic of, “The audience loved x, y, and z of the first one. Let’s feed it to them again with bigger portions.” 

It’s all pretty dumb here. If you absolutely loved the first Rush Hour, I suppose it won’t be a total disappointment. And there’s enough budget here ($90 million) to ensure some good photography and action set pieces. 

But at a certain point, fast moving images and Chris Tucker’s shrilling voice start to wash over your brain and collect in a puddle on the floor.
